Breath Alcohol Testing for Middle Georgia Employers

Breath alcohol testing (BAT) measures an individual's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) using an evidential breath testing device. On Site Employer Solutions provides DOT-approved BAT services at your worksite, with instant results and proper documentation for both federally regulated and non-regulated employers.

DOT-Approved Evidential Breath Testing

Our breath alcohol technicians (BATs) use DOT-approved evidential breath testing devices to deliver accurate, legally defensible BAC results. The two-step confirmation process required by DOT regulations is performed on-site at your location.

Initial Screening

A screening test is performed first. Results below 0.02 are reported as negative. Results at or above 0.02 require a confirmation test.

Confirmation Test

If the screening result is 0.02 or higher, a confirmation test is performed on a DOT-approved evidential breath testing device at least 15 minutes later.

FAQ

Common Questions About Breath Alcohol Testing

What is an evidential breath testing device?

An evidential breath testing device (EBT) is a DOT-approved device used to measure blood alcohol concentration through a breath sample. These devices are approved for use in federally regulated testing programs and produce results that can be used as evidence in compliance proceedings.

How quickly can breath alcohol testing be performed after an accident?

We are available 24/7 throughout Middle Georgia. For DOT post-accident situations, alcohol testing should be completed within 2 hours of the accident. Contact us immediately after an accident and we will dispatch a BAT to your location.

What BAC level constitutes a DOT alcohol violation?

A confirmed BAC of 0.04 or above constitutes a DOT alcohol violation. The employee must be immediately removed from safety-sensitive duties and referred to a Substance Abuse Professional. A BAC between 0.02 and 0.039 requires removal from safety-sensitive duties for at least 24 hours but is not recorded as a violation.

Is mobile breath alcohol testing DOT compliant?

Yes. Our BAT-certified technicians use DOT-approved evidential breath testing devices and follow the required two-step confirmation procedure. All testing is documented on the Alcohol Testing Form (ATF) as required by federal regulations.
